The F batches

Click the photos for a better look at them.
Note: a batch is 5 of these sodastream bottles. These are used if Ginger, Turmeric and Lime are added. It needs the wide opening to get the bits back out.
Black Stripe has a secondary fermentation with hops. This is just done in a wine bottle, then sieved before refrigeration.
See the photos for quantities used.

Two batches, F4 and F5 ended up being processed at the same time. F4 was all black stripe (hops) and F5 was all turmeric, ginger and lime. There is a change in the turmeric powder - we will see how that goes.

Batch F3

One bottle of Black Stripe (with hops). The hops are crushed with the back of a teaspoon in the tiny bowl. The other four bottles have the usual, turmeric, ginger and lime.

Batch F2

In the teaspoon bottom right, you can see the hops, the size of the flowers and the quantity used. Hops are flowers of the hop plant (Humulus lupulus). They are famous for being used as a bittering, flavouring, and stability agent in beer. Here I am just trying to get a suggestion of beer flavour in my Black Stripe - a low calorie beer substitute.
